The University of Mary Marauders

A member of the second University of Mary men’s basketball teams, Roger Klemisch was the second Marauders player to score over 1,000 points and remains the school’s all-time rebounding leader. Klemisch joined the Marauders in the fall of 1971 and played two seasons under Fritz Fell. Before his junior season legendary coach Al Bortke came aboard and Klemisch exploded, leading the team in scoring with 595 points and 294 rebounds in 22 games in 1973-74. As a senior the Marauders posted their first winning season and their record of 23-4 is one of the best marks in school history.
