“I had the privilege to coach Jay and I truly feel, pound-for-pound, Jerome was one of the finest athletes to wear a Marauder basketball uniform,” said former men’s basketball coach and current athletic director, Al Bortke.

Nichols continues to hold the record for most points scored in a single season with 732 points and the record for most rebounds in a single season at 383 rebounds. His name can also be found in the record books for all-time rebounding as he posted 707 rebounds during his two years as a Marauder.
