Vision 2030 University of Mary Athletics Complex

The University of Mary Vision 2030 new athletics facilities will serve not solely to promote the winning of championships but also encourage the formation of character and the building of community. The campus football stadium plans incorporate scholar-athlete academic support and additional classroom space in the multi-use Research Performance Center (RPC) located between the fieldhouse and the football stadium.

The Multipurpose Sports Dome, equipped with state-of-the-art artificial turf, will provide our teams with a place to practice and offer all of our students a space for recreational activities in the colder months. Also, the ability to host NCAA competitions on campus makes athletics even more of a place for the student body, alumni, and the local community to rally around our athletic programs and experience true Benedictine hospitality.

The University of Mary, as a premier institute for Christian, Catholic and Benedictine education, aims to continue its innovation and pioneering strategies with its NCAA Division II programs. While we already have quality athletic programs, we desire greatness through virtue in every aspect. This is why the University of Mary desires state-of-the-art athletic facilities but knows we can never build facilities for athletics alone. The new athletics complex will serve as a multipurpose facility focused on serving our scholar-athletes, the university, and the Bismarck-Mandan community. With this focus, the Stadium, Research Performance Center, and gameday fields will be used 12-months-a-year by all constituents.

Stadium and Research and Performance Center

The new Stadium and Research and Performance Center is truly a multipurpose facility for use year-round and where athletics and academics come together. On football game day, the east side of the Research and Performance Center will be multi-tiered seating including suites that in total will accommodate approximately 2,500 fans on the main grandstand. The berm surrounding the football field will provide room for thousands-more spectators and students, providing an up-close, intimate, and exciting gameday experience and atmosphere guaranteeing home field advantage for the Marauders football team. The Research and Performance Center will house the press box, coaches’ offices and locker rooms, team meeting rooms, Saint Gianna School of Health Sciences research laboratories, the Institute for Faith, Virtue, and Sport, and more.
