The University of Mary Marauders Hall of Fame
After months of training and a season of competition, it took less than four minutes to create one of the most memorable moments in University of Mary athletics history. Competing at the 2004 NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships in Johnson City, TN, the quartet of Latasha Rudolph, Femi Kehinde, Mollie Hoff and Bukky Hassan combined forces to win the NAIA women’s 4x400 meter relay national championship. The four underclassmen had posted one of the best times in the nation to earn a trip to the championships. In the preliminaries the Marauders ran the third best time (3:50.71) overall and their best mark of the season to claim a slot in the finals. One of six teams in the championship field, Rudolph, Kehinde, Hoff and Hassan produced their best effort of the season in the final race. Combining for a school-record time of 3:48.88, the UMary quartet edged out Azusa Pacific for the first Marauders relay team national championship by just .15 seconds. Â
