Lisa Maus-Haugen began her outstanding contribution to the Lady Marauders her freshman year. Playing guard, the highly recruited Hatton, ND, athlete helped lead the team to a 20-7 record, an NDCAC title. Lisa’s sophomore year, the Lady Marauders had a season record of 19-7, earning another NDCAC title. The Lady Marauders ended the 1998-99 season 24-6, winning the NDCAC tournament and another trip to the NAIA Tournament. In the 1999-00, Lisa’s final season, U-Mary took its first and only national championship. The team had a 25-9 record and took the NAIA title. “Lisa was a most aggressive, intense player in all phases of the game,” says former Marauder coach, Roger Haug.

Lisa ranks fourth on the Lady Marauder all-time scorers list (1,678 points); third on the all-time assist board (405 assists); and 17th among the all-time rebounding leaders (443 rebounds). Lisa also holds a career record of 439 free throws (73 percent). Her 1999-00 individual free-throw record was 189. Lisa, now a physical therapist in Aberdeen, SD, is the daughter of Jack and Kathy Maus of Hatton.
