The University of Mary Marauders

While just a two-year performer for the then-Mary College women’s basketball team, Connie Morlock Schmidt helped lead the Marauders to the program’s first back-to-back 20-win seasons. Showing the ability to score, distribute and rebound, Morlock Schmidt joined the Marauders for the 1981-82 season. The Marauders finished 21-6 and earned a second straight WACND title. The program won a third straight crown in 1982-83 with a mark of 23-6 and claimed its first NAIA District 12 title. In two seasons she posted 588 points, 451 rebounds and 240 assists. She is still 15th all-time in assists and 21st in rebounds.
