BISMARCK, ND – A dominant effort by a trio of triple jumpers highlighted the Marauders Invite home meet for the University of Mary women's track & field team. UMary posted three NCAA qualifying marks on the day and set three facility records.
Led by All-American
D'Andra Morris, the Marauders recorded the top three efforts in the triple jump. More impressively, Morris,
Cali Modglin and
Arianna Passeri all hit NCAA provisional qualifying marks. Morris led the group with a top mark of 11.89 meters. Modglin followed at 11.80 meters and Passeri was right behind at 11.78 meters.
Two Marauders set University of Mary Fieldhouse and Wellness Center facility records for a second straight week.
After setting a new mark in the 1000 meter run a week ago, all-American
Taylor Hestekin turned her sights in the mile run. This time Hestekin dominated the field in the mile run in a time of 5:08.79 to win the event by nearly 15 seconds.
Bonet Henderson broke her own facility record in the 60 meter dash. The sophomore blazed her way to the win in 7.70 seconds, .03 seconds faster than the week prior.
Starlynn Costa established a new facility record in the 5000 meter run. The senior from South St. Paul ran a time of 18:15.28 in the first race of the day.
