2020-19 (Sophomore)
As a sophomore, Grimm received All Conference in the Indoor Track and Field Season. She placed 2^nd in the Conference in the 600 m and 3^rd place in the 4x400 m relay.  During the Outdoor season, Ava ran in the 4x100 m relay, placing 6^th in the Conference. She also ran in the 4x400 m relay, placing 5^th in the Conference.

2019-20 (Freshman)
During the indoor season Ava fluctuated between the 400 and 600, finally deciding to compete in the 600 at Conference. She ended up placing 3rd overall with a time of 1:36.79. She was also the second leg of the 4x400 relay team, which also placed 3rd in the meet.

PRIOR TO UMARY
Ava graduated from Elk River High School in Elk River, MN where she participated in Track and Field for five years and advanced to state four of those years. She participated in the state meet in the 400m, 200m, and the 4x200m and 4x100m relays. Within those four years, Grimm placed 7th in the 400m, 3rd in the 4x200m relay, and 9th in the 4x100m relay. Her PR for the 400m currently sit at 58.34 and 26.17 for the 200m. Grimm also currently holds the school record for the 4x200m with 1:42.69. She earned the Most Valuable Player award both her junior and senior seasons while also earning Hardest Worker and Relay Runner of the Year for Elk River High School. In her junior and senior years of high school, Ava also participated on the cross country team.
