Summary

Biography

2020-21 (Senior)
Coming back from a long break in athletics, D’Andra had quite a slow start to her indoor season. She participated in the high, long, and triple jump events where she once again placed in all at the NSIC Indoor Championships. Morris won the triple jump title for the second straight year and the third time in her career. The senior won the event by over two feet, exploding for an NCAA provisional qualifying jump of 40-09.75 feet (12.44m) on her sixth and final attempt. This mark placed her 5th nationally. The two-time defending NSIC indoor champion in the high jump, Morris finished fourth while tying for the second-best height of the day, an NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 1.67 meters, and 5th in the long jump with a mark of 5.61m. She went on to finish her indoor season at the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships uncorking a leap of 12.65 meters to catapult the senior into second place in the meet. The effort topped her previous record mark of 12.54 meters, set at the 2019 NCAA indoor championships when she earned All-American honors for the first time.

D’Andra went on to extend her success throughout the outdoor season. Morris, who owns NSIC outdoor titles in the high jump and the long jump in her Marauders career, earned All-Northern Sun honors for the 11th time in her career when she placed third in the long jump. A 7-time NSIC champion, Morris connected for a top effort of 5.70 meters, missing second by a scant .02 meters (1.0 inch). Additionally Morris claimed fourth in the high jump. The senior from Kingston, Jamaica, matched the second-best height of the day at 1.68 inches but lost out on the tie-breaker as she needed two attempts to clear the height. Her effort is an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. Going into the NCAA Division II Championships for triple jump, Morris was ranked second. She once again had a runner-up finish in the triple jump with a new school record of 13.13m. To contribute to an already successful season, Morris received recognition for her academic achievements with a CoSida second team Academic All-America honors.

2019-20 (Junior)
D'Andra opened up her season winning both the high jump and triple jump and the Marauder's festival. She went on to end her season at the NSIC Conference Championship where she also won the high and triple jump.

2018-19 (Sophomore)
After a good freshman year, D’Andra once again went on to participate in her three disciplines at the NSIC Indoor Conference Championship. She placed 6th in the long jump, 3rd in the triple jump and 1st in the high jump. Her consistent outstanding performance in the triple jump earned her a trip to the NCAA DII Championships. There she earned an All-American accolade with a 7th place finish and an indoor school record. Following an amazing indoor season she went on to once again compete for the Marauders at the NSIC Outdoor Conference Championship. There she placed 1st in the high jump, 6th in the long jump and 2nd in the triple jump. To conclude her second outdoor championship, D’Andra tied for Female High Point Scorer. She once again earned a spot to compete at the NCAA DII Outdoor Championships in the triple jump, where she placed 8th to earn an All-American spot to finish her sophomore season.

2017- 18 (Freshman)
D’Andra had a very promising freshman year competing for the Marauders. At the NSIC Indoor Conference Championship she participated in the long, high and triple jump where she placed in all but one; she tied for 3rd in the high jump and finished 1st in triple jump. D’Andra moved on to complete at the NSIC Outdoor Conference Championship in only two events, placing 1st in the triple jump and 5th in the high jump. Her performances in the triple jump led to earning a spot at the NCAA DII Championship but she fell short of making the finals.

PRIOR TO UMARY
The Kingston, JM native attended St. Andrew High School for Girls and Camperdown High School. At St. Andrew High, D’Andra placed 3rd in the long jump and 4th in the high jump at the national high school meet. She moved on to attending Camperdown after a few years where she broke and still holds the school record in the triple jump. At both Institutions, D’Andra was recognized as an academic scholar as she was a consistent honor roll student.
