MANKATO, MN – The University of Mary men's track and field team will send five track athletes to the finals of their respective events tomorrow at the NSIC Championships. The Marauders were able to pick up points in four events on the day.
The best results came in the long jump, where
Hayden Von Wald placed 2nd with a 7.37m.
Jorgen Paulson was just behind him in 4th with a 7.10m jump.
In one of the most impressive performances of the day for the Marauders,
Raine Skjod cut nearly 20 seconds off his PR in the 5000m run and placed 7
th in the event to earn team points. Coming into the conference championships, Skjod was 10
th in the NSIC in the event.
Freshman
Will Mickelson earned points in the high jump with a 1.96m jump, placing 8
th in the event.
The Distance Medley Relay team of
Joseph Ringhand,
Izaak Kudrna,
Max Lefor, and
Gideon Hammah placed 5
th in the event with a time of 10:14.21.
With four events complete in the heptathlon, freshman
Kenny Moxey Jr. leads the pack of 15 athletes with a score of 2,870. The freshman's shot put throw of 13.50m was the best in the heptathlon. He also set a PR in the 60m dash with a time of 7.18, placing 5
th.
Advancing to the finals of their respective track events were the following athletes:

Raheem Taitt-Best – 400m Dash (49.50)
