BILLINGS, MT – The University of Mary men's and women's track and field teams will be participating in the Yellowjacket Open tomorrow, Mar. 28. The meet will be held at Lockwood High School in Billings, MT.
Field events will begin at 9:00 a.m. and running events will start at 2:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
UMary track and field placed 2
nd at the Marauders Outdoor Opener on both the men's and women's sides. Individual victories were picked up by
Mark DeArmond (100m, 200m),
Nathan Andrews (400m),
Emanuel Latawiec (400m Hurdles),
Jake Hettinger (Shot Put),
Sean Erickson (Discus), and
Cameron Brusven (Javelin) on the men's side. For the women,
Savana Sanchez (100m),
Kelescia Downes (200m),
Makayla Allmaras (100m Hurdles), and
Grace Brandt (400m Hurdles).

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Mark DeArmond earned his first NSIC Athlete of the Week honor after a strong performance at the Marauders Outdoor Opener. DeArmond won both the 100m and 200m races with PRs and ranked 1
st in the NSIC in both events at the time.
ATHLETES TO WATCH
Nathan Andrews and
Sean Erickson were named the men's team's Athletes to Watch. Andrews was the conference's Freshman of the Year during the indoor season after winning the 600m Dash at the NSIC Championships. Erickson is the school's record-holder in the Discus and placed 3
rd in the event at the conference championships last year.
Laila Cleare and
Anna Rader were the women's team's Athletes to Watch. Cleare, coming off an All-American indoor season, was the NSIC Champion in the 100m, 200m, and 4x100m last year. Rader is a multi-athlete who reached an NCAA provisional mark in the Pentathlon for the first time in her career at the NSIC Indoor Championships. She has scored points at the last indoor and outdoor conference championships.
PRESEASON POLLS
Both the men's and women's teams were picked 2
nd in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll ahead of the outdoor season. That is where each team finished at last year's NSIC Outdoor Championships.
