BURNSVILLE, MN – The Northern Sun awarded 85 University of Mary scholar-athletes NSIC All-Academic honors for the 2025-26 winter sports season. Fifty-three Marauders were named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence and 32 earned NSIC All-Academic Team recognition.
Last winter 60 Marauders earned NSIC All-Academic honors.
Twenty-six Marauders from the women's indoor track & field team, 24 from the men's indoor track & field team, 15 from swimming & diving, 13 from wrestling and seven from women's basketball earned NSIC All-Academic team honors recognizing their work in the classroom.
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
The Northern Sun honored 874 student-athletes with NSIC All-Academic recognition; 552 student-athletes received the Team of Excellence designation and 322 NSIC All-Academic Team honors.
