GAME 10 REWIND | Winona State 36 UMary 29
The University of Mary scored the first 19 points of the Marauders Senior Day game and
Karsyn Jablonski scored the program's longest receiving touchdown of the NCAA era before Winona State University roared back in the fourth quarter to edge UMary 36-29.
- Scoring started early for UMary as Damani Wilks caught an 8 yard TD pass from Jordan Polo Solomon, capping a 7-play 72 yard drive on the Marauders first possession.
- A tackle for loss by Vegas George on a Winona State 4th-and-1 attempt gave UMary the ball at the Marauders 35. Striking quickly, a 23 yard catch by Jablonski and a 22 yard reception by Lucas Gonzales set up a 20 yards touchdown catch for Luke Bodine and a 13-0 UMary lead.
- Two possessions later Polo Solomon passes of 27 yards to Wilks and 33 yards to Jablonski set up a 4 yard TD pass to Jablonski for a 19-0 lead.
- WSU scored with 1:47 to play before halftime on a Jahmani Muhammed 33 yard run. Muhammed opened the second half with a 1 yard touchdown run for the Warriors to close the gap to 19-14.
- Jack Henninger nailed a 31 yard field goal with 3:48 to play in the third to give UMary a 22-14 edge.
- Taking over at their own 3 yard line, Polo Solomon hit Jablonski at the 10 yard line. Jablonski then outraced the WSU defense for a 97 yard TD reception – the longest in school history – and a 29-14 lead.
- The Warriors responded with a 32 yard touchdown pass from Jackson Flottmeyer to James Durst at 13:32 of the fourth quarter. Taking advantage of a pair of pass interference calls, including one on a 4th-and-10 play, the Warriors tied the game 29-29 on a 2 yard run by Flottmeyer and a 2-point conversion to Durst with 6:54 to play. Flottmeyer then gave the Warriors their first lead of the day at 36-29 on a 3 yard run with 68 seconds left in the game, capping the Winona State rally.

Â
JABLONSKI AND POLO SOLOMON CONNECT FOR RECORD-SETTING TOUCHDOWN
Jordan Polo Solomon and
Karsyn Jablonski teamed up for the longest touchdown pass in NCAA program history, and possibly in the history of the program, covering 97 yards against Winona State University on November 8, 2025.
Â
Taking the shotgun snap in the end zone, Polo Solomon quickly found Jablonski just inside the numbers at the 10 yard line. The Mandan, ND, native quickly broke to the left sidelines, shaking off one tackler before hitting the corner at full speed. Racing past the Winona State bench, Jablonski left numerous Warriors in his wake as he jetted down the sidelines for the 97 yard touchdown reception.
Â
- The Marauders previous long NCAA touchdown reception covered 93 yards when Blair Sandy found Mike Williams on November 10, 2007, against Northern State University in the Metrodome.
- Jablonski's 97 yard touchdown is believed to be the third longest scoring play of any type at UMary. The only longer touchdowns in school history are a 99 yard kickoff return by Bobby Wagner in 1993 against Western Montana and a 98 yard kickoff return by Terry Newsome in 2009 at Minnesota Crookston.
Â
186
Karsyn Jablonski set a career-high with 186 receiving yards against Winona State, catching seven passes and scoring two TDs, including a school-record 97 yard scoring strike. The last time a UMary receiver exceeded 187 yards was Danny Kittner on November 13, 2021, when the All-American posted a school-record 284 yards in the season finale at Bemidji State.

One of the nation's top running backs in the Class of 2019 made his NCAA debut in the Marauders win at SMSU.
Derrian Brown, the nation's 12

In a coma for two days, forced to undergo brain surgery and eventually needing to re-learn to walk and talk, Brown attended Texas on scholarship but was never medically cleared to play for the Longhorns, though he was cleared medically to play football. After earning his degree from UT, Brown saw limited action last season at Santa Barbara City College. Jablonski and Sheldon are both Mandan, ND, natives. While they played high school football together briefly at Mandan HS when Jablonski was a senior (Class of 2023) and Sheldon a sophomore (Class of 2025), the SMSU scoring play was the first time the pair had connected for a touchdown… Both Karsyn's and Sheldon's fathers played football for the Marauders.

HEAD COACH SHANN SCHILLINGER
Former NFL player and Baker, MT, nativeÂ
Shann Schillinger leads the Marauders onto the field for his third season in 2025 after taking over as UMary head coach in 2023. A former star at the University of Montana and the 8th head coach in UMary program history, Schillinger has coached in both the NCAA Division I Big Ten and Big Sky conferences and is a Montana Football Hall of Fame inductee.
Â
Winning is a common theme throughout Schillinger's career. Between high school and college Schillinger's teams posted 100 victories and only seven defeats. A team captain, Schillinger won three state titles during his four years at Baker HS (2001-04) as quarterback and defensive back while coached by his uncle Don Schillinger, one of the winningest prep coaches in Montana history.
Â
Dubbed "the fastest man from Baker, MT," his accolades made him a highly recruited college prospect before signing on with the Grizzlies as a safety. Schillinger helped lead the Grizzlies to two Football Championship Series (FCS) title games while also earning All-Big Sky Conference honors. Twice he was honored with the Tony Barbour Award, given annually to the "player who best exemplifies outstanding practice habits and makes an unselfish contribution to the betterment of the Grizzly football team." He ranks among the best in Montana history with 257 career takedowns and 11 career interceptions.
Â
After a star-studded career with the University of Montana Grizzlies, NFL fans heard Schillinger's name called on national TV by the Atlanta Falcons in the 6th round of the 2010 NFL Draft. Drafted as the 171st overall pick, Schillinger played four years in the NFL as a safety from 2010 to 2013 with the Falcons and Tennessee Titans.
Â
Schillinger's full-time coaching career began after the NFL in 2015 as a special teams and defensive backs assistant for the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. He returned to his alma mater in Missoula to coach special teams and safeties from 2016 to 2021 and served as the team's pro scout liaison.
