BEMIDJI, MN – A career day by
Luke Bodine and a touchdown pass and catch by
Jordan Polo Solomon highlighted the University of Mary efforts in the final game of 2025 for Marauders football. The visiting Marauders scored 21 second-half points but UMary couldn't catch up to Bemidji State University in a 34-21 win for the Beavers.
Bodine, the NCAA Division II leader in receptions by a tight end, set career-highs with 12 catches for 147 yards. He also caught his 10
th touchdown of the season. The senior from Plymouth, MN, finishes the season with 70 catches for 796 yards and 10 scores are all single-season bests for UMary tight ends.
Polo Solomon, also in his last game at UMary, passed for two touchdowns and caught one. He threw scoring strikes of 33 yards to Bodine and 28 yards to
Ethan Heinrich. The senior also caught a 25 yard touchdown pass from
Hudsen Sheldon. Polo Solomon completed 28-of-45 passes for 292 yards.
The Beavers jumped out to a 14-0 lead on a pair of touchdown runs by Isaiah Tisdale, the second coming after BSU recovered a Marauders fumble at the UMary 19 yard line. The Beavers went into intermission leading 21-0.
The Marauders found their stride right out of the halftime locker room, driving 70 yards on five plays with Polo Solomon hitting Bodine on a 33 yard scoring pass.
BSU responded with a touchdown to push its lead back to 21 points.
The Marauders pressed the issue with two straight touchdowns. Heinrich's touchdown of 28 yards capped a 66 yard drive with 5:13 left in the third quarter. Polo Solomon's 25 yard touchdown reception from Sheldon finished off a 70 yard drive with 11:32 to play in the game. The Beavers put the game away with one final score with 2:54 left in the game.
Heinrich finished with three catches for 37 yards and a score.
Karsyn Jablonski had six grabs for 45 yards.
Jaxon Feller finished with 90 yards on kick returns, 32 rushing yards and 4 receiving yards for 126 all-purpose yards.
Bart McAninch passed for 162 yards and ran for 22 to pace the Beavers attack. Mitch Olson ran for 88 yards and one touchdown. Tisdale also ran for 88 yards.
Christopher Federico led UMary with a game-high 10 tackles that included a sack.
Travis Biery also had a sack.
Jett Solomon broke up a pass, recovered a fumble and made five tackles.
The Marauders finish the season 4-7 overall, 3-7 in the NSIC and 2-4 in the NSIC North. BSU finished 4-7 overall.
The four wins for UMary was the most since winning four games in 2021.
