FARGO, ND – University of Mary men's track and field traveled to Fargo for the Dakota Alumni Classic and came away with two victories. Freshman Xavier Ifill was involved in both, winning the 200m dash and running a leg in the victorious 4x400m relay.
Ifill came out on top in a field that included runners from Division I North Dakota State University, University of North Dakota, and South Dakota State University in the 200m dash. His time of 22.17 is a personal record for the freshman.
UMary's 4x400m relay team of
Akil Howell,
Berkley Munnings,
Osvaldo Cano, and Ifill accumulated a time of 3:22.14 to top the leaderboard, two seconds better than NDSU's team.
Redshirt junior Prithviraj Chougle won the 60m dash while running unattached with a time of 6.89.
There are four Marauders currently competing in the heptathlon which concludes tomorrow morning.
Kenny Moxey Jr. currently ranks the highest of the four, slotting in at 5
th in the field of 14. With three events remaining and his current point total at 2,737, Moxey Jr. would need to average 669 points per event to earn an NCAA qualifying total. The 60m hurdles, pole vault, and 1000m run are the remaining events.
Behind Moxey Jr. are a trio of Marauders in 7
th, 8
th, and 9
th.
Charles Tomczik (2,432),
Malakhi Stevenson (2,430), and
Preston Lemar (2,361) round out the current heptathlon standings for UMary.

The Dakota Alumni Classic will continue at 10:00 am tomorrow with the final three events of the heptathlon. This story will be updated upon the conclusion of the final heptathlon event.
UPDATE: Moxey Jr. earned an NCAA qualifying score of 4,772 in the heptathlon, finishing in third place at the event.
