Biography

2021-22 (Freshman) 
In Akil's freshman season, he competed in the 200, 400, 4x100, and 4x400. He placed 5th in the 400 meter finals with a time of 49.66 at the NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championship. He also placed 14th in the 200 meter preliminaries and helped his relay teams to 3rd (4x100) and 4th (4x400) place finishes.

Howell is a three-time silver medalist in the 400m at the Barbados Secondary School Athletic Championships and finalist in
the 400m at the Barbados National Championships. Akil lives by the quote ”whatever it takes I’m all in” as it helps him to reach his goals. Graduate from both The Alleyne School and The St. Michael School in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Personal
Akil Howell is the only son of Sharon Rollins and Asquith Howell. Akil is majoring in Business Accounting with a concentration in Marketing.
