Indoor - Competed at the NSIC Championship in the 600m Dash (3rd, 1:21.98). Placed 2nd in the 4x400m Relay. Set PRs in the 600m (1:21.02) and 300m (35.61). Set school record in the 600m (1:21.02). Helped set school record in the 4x400m Relay (3:13.33). Team captain.
Outdoor - Competed at the NSIC Championships in the 400m Dash (13th, 49.42). Won the NSIC Championship as a member of the 4x400m Relay team, setting NSIC Championship record (3:11.51). Won the 400m at the UMary Senior Day Open. Won the 200m at the Marauders Outdoor Opener. Set PRs in the 400m (49.01) and 200m (21.96). Helped set the school record in the 4x200m Relay (1:25.52). Team captain.

2023-24
Indoor - Did not compete.
Outdoor - Helped set school record in the 4x400m Relay (3:11.38). Competed at the NSIC Championships in the 200m (22nd, 22.03). Placed 2nd with the 4x100m Relay team. Won the 400m at the Marauders Tune-Up (50.46) and the Yellowjackets Open (50.05).

2019-23
9x All-RMAC competitor. RMAC Runner-Up in the 400m in 2020-21 and 2021-22, 3rd place in 2022-23. Two-time RMAC Bronze Medalist in the indoor 4x400m Relay. RMAC Outdoor 4x400m Relay and 4x100m Relay Champion in 2020-21. RMAC 4x400m Relay Bronze Medalist in 2021-22.

HIGH SCHOOL: Competed in Track and Field, Football, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball and Trap Shooting at Garden County HS. Six-time Conference Champion in the High Jump, 4x400m Relay, 400m, 800m. Six-time District Champion in the 400m, 800m, and 4x400m Relay. 2019 NSAA State Championship runner-up in the 400m. 2019 Track MVP. 

PERSONAL: Son of Eustolia and Eduardo Vargas. Competed alongside brother Osiel Cano at UMary. Member of UMary SAAC from 2022-25. Strength and Conditioning Coaching Assistant. Volunteered at Bismarck Marathon.
