SPEARFISH, SD –
D'Andra Morris claimed a pair of titles and
Tereza Bolibruch added a third for the University of Mary at the 2021 Stinger Open in the Marauders final tune-up before the start of championship season.
Morris exceeded the competition in both the triple jump and the long jump. The All-American landed one of two Marauders NCAA qualifying marks of the day with an effort of 12.21 meters in the triple jump. Morris followed up with the top mark in the long jump at 5.60 meters.
Bolibruch topped the field in the 60 meter hurdles. She cleared the barriers in 8.84 seconds in the finals after posting a time of 8.83 seconds in the preliminaries.
The Marauders Distance Medley Relay team had an exceptional performance. The quartet of
Natalee Sample,
Ava Grimm,
Elizabeth Acheson and
Taylor Hestekin blazed to an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 12:06.13.
The Marauders had several other top 5 finishes on the day:
- Morgan Hertz placed third in both the 200 meter dash (26.89) and the 400 meter run (1:01.01)
- Courtney Dembrowski (2:18.72) and Rachael Ney (2:20.19) finished 2-3 in the 800 meter finals
- Taryn Ceglowski ran the mile in 5:19.90 to place 4th
- Paige Zeigler was the runner-up to Bolibruch in the 60 meter hurdles (9:36)
- Taylor Weidner placed second behind Morris in the long jump (5.42 meters) and third in the triple jump (10.77m)
- Nicole Kramchynsky placed third in the shot put (13.03m)

th in the country, the three-time defending conference champion Marauders defends their title at the 2021 Northern Sun Men's Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday, Feb. 27, in Mankato, MN.
