The University of Mary Marauders

2016-2017
Competed in nine dual meets and at the NSIC Conference.  Marauders on opening day of the 2017 Northern Sun Swimming and Diving Championships. 1,000 yard freestyle. Sarah Rapp placed 23^rd in 12:12.06. Improved on her top times of the season, Rapp by over 33 seconds.  Marauders efforts for the second straight day. The Mary 200 yard freestyle relay team of Sarah Rapp, Brittny Dye, Eric Nestorick and Katie Arens claimed 13th with a time of 1:55.54. For the second straight semester, Sarah Rapp representing the Marauders earned the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team honors after posting a team grade point average of 3.50 during the 2017 spring semester. Sarah contributed to the program in the freestyle and backstroke events.

PRIOR TO UMARY
A four-time state qualifier, Sara Rapp placed fifth in South Dakota for St. Thomas More High School in the 1650 free at the 2015 state championships. Rapp was a four-year letter winner and also competes for the Greater Rapid City Ellsworth Aquatic Team. A lifeguard and swim instructor for six years, Sarah just completed her freshman year at the University of Mary and earned honor roll recognition. She is the daughter of Paulette and Randy Rapp and is majoring in nursing.
 
"Sarah will be a great addition to our program," said Marauders head coach Allan McCallum. "She will contribute to our team in the mid distance and distance freestyle events. Sarah has a lot of great leadership qualities and will bring a lot of positive energy to our program."
