BISMARCK, ND – With the NSIC Championships less than a week away, University of Mary track and field will host its UMary Last Chance meet on Saturday, May 2. The meet will be held at both the Sanford Sports Complex and MDU Resources Community Bowl beginning at 1:00 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders won the UMary Senior Day Open on Wednesday for both the men and women. Victories for the men were picked up by

SCHOOL RECORDS
Throwers
Sean Erickson and
Siena Lambert have both broken Hammer Throw records this season. The men's record was held by Tad Harman since 2012. The women's record had stood since 2014 and belonged to Stephanie Fey. Erickson and Lambert went on to improve upon their marks.
Gideon Hammah set two school records at the Bryan Clay Invitational. He broke Jesse Bennett's record in the 800m that had stood since 2012. The sophomore followed that with a record-breaking performance in the 1500m, breaking his own mark from last year.
Kenny Moxey Jr. journeyed to Iowa and broke UMary's Decathlon record at the Drake Relays. His score of 7,086 blew away the previous record of 6,460, which was set by Kevin Ford in 1998.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Mark DeArmond earned his first NSIC Athlete of the Week honor after a strong performance at the Marauders Outdoor Opener. DeArmond won both the 100m and 200m races with PRs and ranked 1
st in the NSIC in both events at the time.
Kelescia Downes had a great showing at the Yellowjacket Open, earning NSIC Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career. She set two PRs, winning the 200m and finishing as the runner-up in the 400m with NCAA provisional times in both events.
Laila Cleare was named the NSIC Athlete of the Week after finding success in California. Cleare tallied the 11
th best 100m time in the nation at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate and the 18
th best 200m time in the nation at the Bryan Clay Invitational. She also was a member of the 4x400m Relay that earned the 5
th best time in the nation.
Kenny Moxey Jr. was named the NSIC Field Athlete of the Week after his record-breaking performance in the Decathlon at the Drake Relays. His score of 7,086 was the 6
th best in the nation and he is the first men's outdoor field athlete of the week for UMary since 2017.
