LONG BEACH, CA – University of Mary track and field has sent a fleet of athletes to compete in multiple meets in California this Thursday, April 16, through Saturday, April 18. The majority of the team will compete in the Blue Hawk Games in Dickinson, ND, on Sunday, April 19.
The Pacific Coast Intercollegiate from Long Beach, CA, will take place on Thursday with 10 Marauders competing across 6 events.

LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders competed at the Al Bortke Classic last weekend and won both the men's and women's meets.
Sean Erickson won the Discus and set the school record in the Hammer Throw at 54.72m. Other wins for the men were picked up by
Cameron Brusven (Javelin),
Logan Wentz (Triple Jump),
Mark DeArmond (200m),
Ryan Koberoski (400m), and
Jack Koppelsloen (400m Hurdles). Koberoski and Koppelsloen joined
Emanuel Latawiec and
Kaden Kraft to win the 4x400m Relay.
On the women's side,
Anna Bruno (Long Jump),
Aspen Eslinger (400m Hurdles),
Faith Jepchumba (5000m), and
Laila Cleare (100m, 200m) won their events. The 4x100m Realy team of
Tayen Werner, Kelscia Downes,
Tionce Walrond, and
Laila Cleare was victorious with the 6
th best time in the nation.

Sydney Elsner teamed up to win the 4x400m Relay.

ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Mark DeArmond earned his first NSIC Athlete of the Week honor after a strong performance at the Marauders Outdoor Opener. DeArmond won both the 100m and 200m races with PRs and ranked 1
st in the NSIC in both events at the time.
Kelescia Downes had a great showing at the Yellowjacket Open, earning NSIC Athlete of the Week honors for the first time in her career. She set two PRs, winning the 200m and finishing as the runner-up in the 400m with NCAA provisional times in both events.
