BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary men's track and field team hosted a three-day Al Bortke Classic in Bismarck, ND, from Friday to Sunday while sending four athletes to compete in the NDSU Spring Classic.
Sean Erickson highlighted the efforts at home, winning the Discus with a 52.52m throw and moving up to 18
th nationally in the event. He also broke his own school record in the Hammer Throw with a 54.72m throw. He placed 2
nd at the event.
The Marauders also took home another throw event victory in the Javelin. Two-sport athlete Cam Brusven launched a 56.36m throw to win the event, a PR and his second win of the season.
Logan Wentz won the Triple Jump at 13.73m to round out the field victories for UMary at home.
In the running events,
Mark DeArmond continued his strong start to the season with a win in the 200m at 21.20 seconds. He narrowly finished before teammate
Dawson Hawkinson by 0.006 seconds.
Ryan Koberoski won the 400m with a PR of 50.08.
Jack Koppelsloen earned his second straight win in the 400m Hurdles with a 54.86.
Koberoski and Koppelsloen joined forces with
Emanuel Latawiec and
Kaden Kraft to win the 4x400m Relay at 3:31.56.

In Fargo,
Kenny Moxey Jr. set a PR in the 110m Hurdles with a 14.66, placing 3
rd. He also set a Long Jump PR at 6.93m, placing 4
th.
Dylan Payer crushed his PR in the 1500m by over 15 seconds, placing 2
nd with a 3:58.18.
The Marauders will be heading to California later this week to compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational and Cal State LA Twilight Open.
