SCHOOL RECORDS
This season, seven Marauders and a relay team have set new school records. In the season-opening Mike Thorson Open, Hayden Von Wald's long jump of 7.55m broke Luxon Glor's record that had stood since 2017.

At the Marauders 2025 Indoor Opener, both Xavier Ifill and Morgan Hertz set new school records in the 300m dash. Ifill's time of 34.78 broke Brendon Hoyte's record that had stood since 2023. Hertz finished with a time of 40.62 to break Rikki Schmidt's record that had lasted since 2012.

Sakena Massiah knocked down two program records at the UND Open. Her time of 24.36 in the 200m dash broke a record that teammate Tionce Walrond set last year. Massiah then notched a 55.04 time in the 400m dash, breaking Abbey Zastrow's record that had stood since 2019.

Laila Cleare broke a school record at the Bison Open. Her time of 7.43 in the 60m dash was narrowly better than the time current assistant coach Arianna Passeri set the record with last year – 7.45.

UMary had a great outing at the SDSU Classic with five records falling over the weekend. On Friday, Sakena Massiah broke her own record in the 200m dash with a time of 24.19, cutting 0.17 seconds off her career best. Elizabeth Acheson joined her on the record-breaking front that day with a 2:06.62 in the 800m dash. Her previous school record that she set last year was 2:08.43.

On Saturday, Massiah did it again, this time in the 400m dash. She ran a 54.74, 0.3 seconds faster than the record she had set earlier this season. Osiel Cano entered the record books with a 1:21.02 in the 600m dash. The record was previously held by Tony Wood (2008) and current assistant coach Joseph Patchen-Mills (2024) at 1:21.65.

Cano was a part of the record-setting 4x400m relay alongside Osvaldo Cano, Xavier Ifill, and Raheem Taitt-Best. They ran a 3:13.33, breaking the record of 3:14.73 that was set last year.
