NEW ORLEANS, LA – For the 12
th straight year, the University of Mary men's track and field team was recognized by the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic Team.
In order to be named an All-Academic Team, the cumulative GPA of the squad must be at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. The Marauders finished the year with a 3.29 GPA.
The following athletes received All-Academic honors:
Xavier Ifill,
Jorgen Paulson,
Raheem Taitt-Best, and
Hayden Von Wald.
The requirements as an individual are a 3.25 GPA or higher and a top-50 national mark in an event OR participation in both the indoor and outdoor NCAA Championships.
In addition to this latest award, Ifill, Taitt-Best, and Paulson all earned All-American honors at the NCAA Outdoor Championships as a part of the 4x100m Relay. Paulson was also an Indoor All-American in the Long Jump. Von Wald and Paulson were also both named NSIC Outstanding Seniors of the Year.
