Biography

2024-25
Indoor -
As a Freshman, Werner had a 6th place finish in the 400m at the indoor NSIC Championships and helped the 4x400m relay team become Conference Champions while setting a new meet record.
Outdoor - At the NSIC Championships, Werner was 2nd in the 400m and 4th in the 200m and helped the 4x400m relay team again become Conference Champions while setting a new venue record. She was part of the NCAA Championships qualifying 4x400m relay team and earned her first All-American with a 7th place finish. The 4x400m relay team set a new school record with a time of 3:35.17.

HIGH SCHOOL: 
Werner is a 2-time Track & Field provincial qualifier in Long Jump, 100m, 200m, 400m, 4x100m and 4x400m relay. She became the provincial champion in the 400m (2022) and earned the bronze medal (2024). She claimed a silver medal in the 100m & 200m (2022) and a bronze medal in the 4x100m relay (2024). Werner also competed in Cross Country, being a 3-time provincial qualifier, she earned her best position in 2023 finishing 14th, shaving off over 3 minutes from her previous PR. Werner earned MVP in both Cross Country and Track & Field throughout her high school career and earned Athlete of the Year 3 of her 4 years. In addition, Werner was part of the starting lineup of the 3-time provincial qualifying Volleyball team, helping to bring home a silver medal (2022) and a bronze medal (2023).
