BROOKINGS, SD – It was a strong weekend at the SDSU Classic with a pair of individual victories and two school records falling for the University of Mary men's track and field team.
Osvaldo Cano was involved in both record-breaking performances. The senior placed fifth in the 600m dash but did so with a school record of 1:21.02. He broke a record of 1:21.65 that was previously held by both Tony Wood (2008) and current assistant coach

In the 4x400m relay, Osvaldo was joined by his brother Osiel,
Xavier Ifill, and
Raheem Taitt-Best. The group placed second with a time of 3:13.33, which broke a school record. That record was set last year by Taitt-Best,
Akil Howell,
Berkley Munnings, and
Prithviraj Chougule. This year's squad is now 26
th in the nation.
