MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN—The University of Mary swimming and diving team had five swimmers finish in the top five after day two of the WildBear Invite. The Marauders currently sit in fourth place out of six teams.
Maria Strong finished third in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.11.
Madeline Desmond (59.15) placed fifth.
Peyton Wunderlich took fourth place in the 200 yard freestyle after producing a time of 1:55.29.
The 200 yard butterfly saw
Lola Sheridan (2:19.01),
Felicity McCallen (2:19.26),
Mariapocs Ruiz Martinez (2:19.49) and
Sarah Bernasconi (2:24.95) take fourth, fifth, sixth and eighth place.
The team of Wunderlich, Strong,
Madeline Desmond and
Michaela Desmond placed fourth in the 200 yard freestyle relay after recording a time of 1:37.05.
Finishing off the night was the 400 yard medley relay, which saw
Madeline Desmond,
Elise Altringer, Wunderlich and Strong take fifth place with a time of 4:01.99.
The University of Sioux Falls (626) leads the way after day two of the WildBear Invite followed by Concordia Universty, St. Paul (558), Southwest Minnesota State University (434), UMary (423), St. Catherine University (369), and Northern State University (261).
The Marauders return for the final day of the WildBear Invite in Mendota Heights, MN, on Saturday, November 23, with prelims set for 10:30 am, and finals to begin at 5:30 pm.
