BURNSVILLE, MN – After winning a conference championship in her debut season,
Olivia Gibbons was named NSIC Freshman of the Year.
Gibbons won the 200 Yard Breaststroke after she recorded a new school record time of 2:20.77. The Kalispell, MT, native becomes the first Marauder to win a conference championship since Victoria Murillo did so back in 2024.
She also earned All-Conference honors in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, recording an NCAA B cut time of 1:03.66. Gibbons was a part of the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay and the 200 Yard Medley Relay teams that finished third at conference. The freshman would also claim fifth place in the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 23.88.
Gibbons would help UMary set school records in the 100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 FR Relay, 400 FR Relay, 200 Medley Relay, and the 400 Medley Relay. She also helped lead the Marauders to an undefeated dual meet season.
