BISMARCK, ND – Headlined by a pair of big leaps and bounds by
Arianna Passeri, the University of Mary women's track & field team dominated their opening meet of the 2021-22 season inside the Marauders home facility.
Hosting the Marauders Indoor Festival, UMary rolled up eight titles on the way to recording 121 team points. Dickinson State University was second with 48 points, followed by Minot State University (37), Valley City State University (29) and the University of Jamestown (20).
Passeri produced a pair of NCAA provisional qualifying marks for the Marauders as the junior captured the long jump and placed second in the triple jump. In her first event of the day, Passeri exploded to a top mark of 5.96 meters in the long jump, edging teammate
D'Andra Morris. An All-American triple jumper for UMary who was the national runner-up both indoors and outdoors last season, Morris, connected on a leap of 5.94 meters, also a provisional qualifying mark.
Passeri wrapped up her day second NCAA qualifying mark with an effort of 11.82 meters to finish as the event runner-up.
Cali Modglin had an impressive start to the season in the triple jump. The senior sailed 11.89 meters to edge out Passeri for the top mark. Modglin's distance was one of five NCAA qualifying marks on the day for the UMary team.

Elizabeth Acheson had a tremendous start to the season. 4
th in the nation at the 2021 NCAA indoor championships, Acheson churned up the track with a national qualifying time of 2:13.53.
Tereza Bolibruch cleared the 60 meter hurdles in just 8.88 seconds to win the title.

Danalee Brock,
Ava Grimm and Acheson combined to win the 4x400 meter relay with a clocking of 4:00.53.
