BISMARCK, ND – University of Mary women's track and field started the outdoor season with four individual victories at the Marauders Outdoor Opener on Saturday, Mar. 21.
Savana Sanchez earned her first collegiate victory in the 100m Dash with a 12.36. The freshman also had a PR in the 200m at 25.52, finishing 5
th.
Kelescia Downes won the 200m at 24.52. Following her was
Tionce Walrond (25.06),
Kendall Berg (25.20),
Mya Nishimura (25.38), and Sanchez (25.52) for a sweep of the top 5.
Makayla Allmaras started her outdoor season with a win in the 100m Hurdles, clocking in 14.50.
Grace Brandt hit a new PR in the 400m Hurdles, winning the event with a 1:03.65.
J'Nya Demming took home the win in the 400m while racing unattached at 1:00.73. Demming joined the Marauders midway through the indoor season.
