Cleare, 4x100m Relay close out season as All-Americans at NCAA Championships

EMPORIA, KS - University of Mary women's track and field will be coming home with five trophies as Laila Cleare had an All-American finish in the 100m along with the 4x100m Relay squad.

First was the 4x100m Relay Finals, where Tionce Walrond, Kelescia Downes, and Tayen Werner joined Cleare on the track. The Marauders placed 6th nationally, finishing with a 45.70. That is the first All-American finish in the outdoor 4x100m for the women's team since 2015. 

An hour later, Cleare was set for the 100m Finals. The senior closed out her career with an 8th-place finish in the event at 11.83. She is the first 100m All-American in program history.
