UMary women's track and field finishes 2nd Team All-American in 4x400m Relay

DAY 1 RECAP

EMPORIA, KS - The University of Mary women's track and field team was featured in two events on Friday at the NCAA Championships and successfully took home 2nd Team All-American status in the 4x400m Relay. 

Tayen Werner, Kelescia Downes, Aspen Eslinger (who was filling in for Laila Cleare), and Tionce Walrond finished with a 3:41.38 in the 4x400m Relay in the final event of the day to place 11th, solidifying their spots as 2nd Team All-Americans.

Earlier in the day, Walrond (18th, 24.17), Downes (19th, 24.21), and Cleare (22nd, 27.75) competed in the 200m Prelims. 

The Marauders will be represented in the 4x100m Relay Finals and the 100m Finals tomorrow.
