BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary awarded degrees to 1,004 graduates on Saturday, April 27, at its 2019 commencement. Among those receiving their degrees were an impressive number of Marauders student-athletes.
Sixty-eight UMary student-athletes were honored for their academic achievements in the classroom. While most completed their athletic eligibility over the past year, several will continue to compete for the Marauders next season while earning a graduate degree.
Of the 68 graduating student-athletes, half earned conference All-Academic honors in their final seasons of play for their success in the classroom. More than 15 graduates received all-conference honors for their exploits during competition.
Founded and sponsored by the Benedictine Sisters of Annunciation Monastery of Bismarck, the University of Mary awarded 508 bachelor's degrees, 414 master's degrees and 82 doctoral degrees.
