As a NSIC All Scholar Athlete, Mackenzie
finished 3
rd in the 100 Fly against NSU. Recorded a 10
th place finish in the pentathlon against Northern State. Houston finished 18
th in the 100 Fly, 15
th in the 100IM. She contributed on the 200 FR team that finished 12
th, the 200MR and 400MR that both finished 13
th at the NSIC Championships.

2019-20 (Junior)
Swam season-best times of 2:17.50 in the 200 IM, 58.30 in the 100 fly at the NSIC Championships. Won the 100 fly and the 50 fly against Concordia College. Houston had nine top 5 finishes.

2018-19 (Sophomore)
A school record holder in 200 Free Relay, Houston posted career best times of 24.78 in the 50 Free, 57.63 in the 100 Fly, & 1:01.17 in the 100 IM at the NSIC Championships.
Had a season best time of 2:18.29 in the 200 Fly at the NSIC Championships

2017-18 (Freshman)
Competing in the first meet of her college career Houston started off with winning in the 50 free, 50 fly, & 100 fly, & a 2
nd place finish in the 200 fly against Northern State. Against Sioux Falls, Houston finished 2
nd in the 100 fly & 3
rd in the 200 fly. During the dual meet against Minnesota Moorhead, Houston had a 3
rd place finish in the 50 freestyle, & won the 100 fly. Next up was a dual meet with Northern State where Houston was a double even winner taking top honors in the 50 free, 50 fly, & finished 2
nd in the 100 free. Against Concordia College, Houston was a double event winner taking top honors in the 50 breaststroke & 200 IM. During the Dragon/Cobber Invite, Houston had finishes of 2
nd in the 100 fly, 6
th in the 200 fly, & 7
th in the 100 freestyle, & 9
th in the 50 freestyle. During the Dragon Invite Houston helped the team to a 2
nd place finish by placing 8
th in the 200 breaststroke, 3
rd in the 100 fly, 8
th in the 200 fly, 5
th in the 200 IM, 1
st in the 50 fly, & 3
rd in the 100 IM. At the 2018 NSIC Championship, The freshman from Canada, helped the 200 yard medley relay team take the podium for the first time in the UMary program's two-year history. Combining with Zajdzinski, Alyssa Boese and Karyssa Nelson, the four Marauders combined for a school-record time of 1:49.63 to place seventh in the conference. Houston finished 11th in the 100 fly with a mark of 58.65. In the 200 freestyle relay Karyssa Nelson, Houston, Mary Williamson and Andrea Smith combined for a school record mark of 1:39.73. The 400 yard medley relay team of Zajdzinski, Williams, Houston and Smith that placed 10
th. Mackenzie Houston finished 16
th in the 200 butterfly, and 14
th in the 100 individual medley. Mackenzie had a great first season with the Marauders. Houston helped the team in the freestyle and butterfly events throughout the entire season.
PRIOR TO UMARY
High School
Competed at the Eastern Canadian Championships in spring 2017. Swam in the Long Course and Short Course provincials four years in a row. Participated in the Age Group Canadian Championships. Swam at the Junior Canadian Championships. Best times in long course meters: 100 fly (1:05.95), 100 free (1:02.54), and 50 free (28.33). Team captain.

Allan McCallum. "Her enthusiasm for swimming and work ethic are traits that will take her very far in this sport. She has competed at a high level throughout her high school career and will be able to make an immediate contribution to the team in a variety of different events. We are looking forward to getting her on campus and in the pool with us this fall."
