Biography

2022-23 (Graduate Student)
Murillo put forth a historic season for her career and the UMary Swimming program. She swam 4:54.00 to not only break her own record in the 500 yard freestyle, but she earned 1st team NCAA All-American status in the event which was the first feat for a Marauder. She also qualified for the 200 free, 1000 free, and the 1650 free. A month before nationals, Murillo won Swimmer of the Meet at the 2023 NSIC Championships in Moorhead. She did so by winning four conference championships between February 8-11 in the 1000 free, 200 free, 500 free, and the 1650 free. She won the 200 free, 100 free, and the 200 backstroke at the Concordia Triangular on January 27. She won the 200 medley relay, 1000 free, 200 free, and the 500 free at the Dragon Invite January 13-14. Won the 1650 free and set the school record in the 200 free (1:50.47) at the Augustana Invitational on November 19. Won the 200 free, 200 free relay, and the 500 free at home against MSU Moorhead on November 5. Won the 1000 free and 500 free and the 1000 free in Jamestown on October 8. Won the 200 free, 50 free, and 500 free in the season opener at home on October 1. Named NSIC Swimmer of the Week on October 31. Named Female Athlete of the Year by UMary Athletics at the Night of Champions End of Year banquet. Named CSCAA Scholar All-American for the fourth time in her career in 2023. Earned CSC Academic All-America honors. Named to the NSIC Academic Team of Excellence. 

2021-22 (Senior)
Did not compete in 2021-22. 

2020-21 (Junior)
A SCHOOL RECORD HOLDER: 200/500 Free and 200/400/800 FR, and 400 MR, NCAA All American (2020-500 Free) and NSIC All Scholar Athlete, Murillo was NCAA Qualifier in the 200, 500 and 1000 free. Murillo was the NSIC Champion in the 200 and 500 free. She finished third in the 1000 free at the NSIC Championships Murillo was named to the NSIC All-Conference team for the 200, 500, 1000 Free. She won the 200 and 500 free against Northern State. She won the 100 free, 200 free, 1000 free and the 200 breaststroke in the dual meet against Sioux Falls and Augustana. She won the 50 breaststroke and the 50 free in the pentathlon against Northern State. Murillo set a school and conference record for the 500 free with a time of 4:56.55. Murillo set a school record for the 200 free with a time of 1:50.82.

2019-20 (Sophomore)
A NSIC All Scholar Athlete and NCAA All American (2020-500 Free), Murillo was a NCAA Qualifier in the 100 free, 500 free and the 1000 free. She was the NSIC Champion in the 200 free and the 500 free. She won the 200 free in a quad duel against the University of Sioux Falls, Augustana and Northern State. She won the 200 free against SMSU. She won the 200 free against Augustana. She won the 1000 free and the 200 breaststroke against Northern State. She won the 200 free and the 500 free in the Augustana Invitational. She won the 100 breaststroke and the 200 free against Concordia College. She won the 200 free against MSU Moorhead, MSU Mankato and SMSU
 
2018-19 (Freshman)
Murillo was an NCAA Qualifier. She was the NSIC Champion in the 200 Free, 500 Free, & 1000 Free. Murillo received NSIC All Conference Honors in the 200 Free, 500 Free, & 1000 Free. Murillo is the school record holder in the 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free, 1000 Free, 50 Breast, 400 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay, & 800 Free Relay. She is CSCAA Scholar All American. She had NCAA Provisional Qualifying times in the 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free, & 1000 Free. Murillo posted career best times of 51.90 in the 100 Free, 1:50.90 in the 200 Free, 4:58.91 in the 500 Free, 10:17.20 in the 1000 Free at the NSIC Championships. She had a career best time of 2:21.09 in the 200 Breast at the Dragon/Cobber Invite. Murillo placed 1st in the 200 Free, 1st in the 500 Free, 1st in the 1000 Free, & 5th in the 200 Breast at the NSIC Championships. She had 12 top 5 finishes in Dual Meets. She was apart of the 800 Free Relay that set a pool record at South Dakota State. She won the 200 Free & 50 Breast at the Northern State & Augustana Tri Duals. She won the 200 Free against Moorhead State. She won the 100 Free & 200 Free against South Dakota State. She won the 500 Free against University of Sioux Falls. She won the 50 Free against Northern State. She won the 500 Free against Concordia College. She won the 100 Free, 200 Free, 500 Free, & 200 Breast at the Dragon/Cobber Invite. She won the 50 Breast & 50 Free against Northern State.

High School
Victoria Murillo is a great breaststroker and freestyler that will impact our program in a number of events. Victoria is competitive at the national level in Mexico, having placed 3rd in the 50 breast at their national championships and being part of a national record-setting 4 x 100 relay for the 15-16 age group.
 
"Victoria is a very talented breaststroker and freestyler that has the potential to make an immediate impact at the conference level," said McCallum. "She fits in well with the future goals of our program. We are very excited to have Victoria join us next fall."

Daughter of Gabriel Murillo de Alba and Juliana Leticia Quiroga Barrera and is majoring in Medical Lab Sciences.
