Biography

PRIOR TO UMARY

High School: Won four letters competing in swim. She was a four-time OHSAA District top-five individual finisher in the 100 fly and 100 back. Desmond was part of the District Champion 200 and 400 relay team (2019-22). She qualified for State in 2022. Her team won the OHSAA District Championship in 2021 and 2022.

Personal: Daughter of Anastasia and Michael Desmond. She is majoring in Elementary Education with a minor in Theology Philosophy. She is the oldest of four sisters. Her younger sister, Maddy, competed for the UMary swim team. She is a Team Bible Study Leader (2023-25). Desmond is also a representative of the UMary SAAC team. She has worked over 400 hours of community service, working with children in schools and teaching swim lessons.
