BISMARCK, ND – It was a huge day for University of Mary women's track and field at the UMary Last Chance Meet. A total of 10 NCAA provisional marks were met, four of which rank in the top-10 in the nation.
Laila Cleare was phenomenal, hitting a school record in both the 100m and 200m Dash. Her 100m time of 11.21 ranks 2
nd nationally, while her 200m time of 23.28 is 5
th in the nation.
Tionce Walrond met NCAA provisional marks in the 100m and 200m as well, moving up to 30
th nationally in the 100m at 11.66. Her 200m time was 23.90, remaining in 26
th in the national standings.
Kelescia Downes moved up to 12
th in the nation in the 200m with a PR of 23.53.
Cleare, Walrond, Downes, and
Tayen Werner teamed up to finish the 4x100m Relay in 45.07 seconds. That moves the group up to a tie for 10
th in the nation.
Anna Bruno hit a PR in the Long Jump, soaring 6.17m. The junior is now 8
th in the nation in the event, moving up 12 spots. Bruno also won the Triple Jump at 11.38m.
Aspen Eslinger (1:01.47),
Anna Tisch (1:01.73), and
Grace Brandt (1:01.76) all hit NCAA provisional marks in the 400m Hurdles. Eslinger is now 52
nd nationally, Tisch is 61
st and Brandt is 62
nd.
Anna Nasset won the High Jump with a 1.57m height.
Siena Lambert won the Hammer Throw at 49.28m.
Sydney Elsner won the 400m with a 1:01.67.
Kaydee Boyce won the 100m Hurdles at 14.41.

Up next for the Marauders will be the NSIC Championships in Duluth, MN. The meet will last from Thursday, May 7, to Saturday, May 9.
