FARGO, ND – The strong start to the season for University of Mary men's track and field team continued on the east side of North Dakota with seven top-three finishes at the NDSU Spring Classic.
Jorgen Paulson achieved his season-best time in the 100m dash with a winning mark of 10.42. However, the tailwind was 5.0m/s, which is beyond the allowable limit of 2.0m/s for the NCAA. His time would have been 29
th in the nation had it stood.
Michael Cartwright placed third with a 10.53.
Diego Andres-Dougan had a season-best time in the 110m hurdles at 14.21, placing third. Cartwright placed third in the 200m at 21.59. Both had winds over 3.0m/s at their backs.
Berkley Munnings achieved a second-place finish for the third time this season in the 400m hurdles. This time, it was with his second best mark of the season at 54.49.
Freshman distance runner
Joseph Ringhand crushed his outdoor season-best time in the 800m run with a 1:56.99, placing 2
nd. His previous best was 2:03.80.
Raine Skjod ran in the 5000m run and cut 15 seconds off his best outdoor season time. He placed 3
rd with a 15:29.64. The junior transfer's previous best was 15:44.44.
Sean Erickson continued his undefeated outdoor run in the discus with his fourth win in as many events. The sophomore reached a distance of 50.58m to claim the top spot.

It will be a busy week for the Marauders, as the squad will be split between the Pacific Coast Invite and Bryan Clay Invite in California from Apr. 16 to 19. There will also be the Blue Hawk Games in Dickinson, ND, on Apr. 18.
