BISMARCK, ND – The University of Mary men's track and field team went into the postseason with a win at home, claiming victory at the Marauders Tune-Up. There were five individuals that topped the leaderboard on the day.
Sophomore
Michael Cartwright earned a personal best in the 60m dash at 6.86, cutting 0.07 seconds off his time. It is Cartwright's third career individual victory.
Junior
Dawson Hawkinson earned his first collegiate victory with a time of 22.53 in the 200m dash. He was narrowly ahead of teammate
Julian Pompa, who finished with a 22.90.
Junior
Logan Wentz got the win in the long jump at 6.95m, a 0.45m improvement from his mark last week at the Maverick Premier #2.
Sophomore
Jake Hettinger got his first career shot put victory with a personal best of 15.46m. His previous best was 15.10m. It is his second victory overall collegiately.
Sophomore
Sean Erickson won the weight throw with a 16.14m mark, a new personal best. His previous best was 15.78m. It is Erickson's fourth career victory.
