SIOUX FALLS, SD –
Olivia Gibbons continues to impress as she helped the University of Mary swimming and diving team break two school records on day two of the Augie Invite. The Marauders sit in third place with 677 team points.
The event started with the Marauders setting a new record in the 200 Yard Medley Relay as the team of
Grace Urke,
Olivia Gibbons,
Emma Sheppard, and
Maria Strong finished runner-up with a time of 1:44.81.
Gibbons broke her own school record in the 100 Yard Breast. The freshman from Kalispell, MT, won the 100 Breast with a time of 1:03.42 to earn NCAA "B" cut status for the second time this season.
Peyton Wunderlich took gold in the 100 Yard Fly, posting a time of 56.14. Strong (58.25) took fifth place.
Elise Altringer (1:56.51) took tenth in the 200 Yard Free, and
Amber Norgaard (4:59.70) placed 13
th in the 400 IM.
The Marauders return for day three of the Augie Invite on Saturday, December 6, in Sioux Falls, SD.
