UNION LAKE, MI – Whether ranked by humans or spreadsheet, the University of Mary maintained its #12 ranking for a third straight week overall and the first 2025-26 American College Hockey Association (ACHA) Men's Division 1 computer poll of the season.
The first six ACHA MD1 rankings of the season (preseason poll and first five regular season polls) were based on voting by coaches. This week the ranking system switched to a computer poll.
The Marauders ranked 14
th in the preseason coaches' poll and in the first two regular season rankings before jumping to #12 the last three weeks.
UMary is 9-5-0-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-T-SOW-SOL) overall, 8-5-0-0-0-0 against ACHA MD1 teams and 2-2-0-0-0-0 in MCH play. Additionally the Marauders are 6-5-0-0-0-0 when playing nationally-ranked teams.
Against teams in the poll released November 5, the Marauders are 1-5-0-0-0-0. UMary owns a road win over #14 Purdue Northwest with losses at #3 Minot State, vs. #4 Jamestown, at #5 Calvin, and vs. #9 Drury (2).
Computer rankings determine 18 of the 24 teams who will compete at the 2026 ACHA Men's Division I National Championships. Six teams earn automatic berths through conference qualifying.
With 11 games already played against nationally-ranked teams, the Marauders schedule doesn't let up. UMary hosts #3 Minot State on Saturday, November 8, before playing #13 Utah on November 21, #18 West Chester November 22, #5 Jamestown December 3, #25 Midland December 5-6 and #5 Jamestown against December 11.
The 2026 ACHA Men's Division I National Championships presented by FloHockey is set for March 12-17 at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo. This will be the third year of the 24-team format.
