UNION LAKE, MI – In the final 2025-26 American College Hockey Association (ACHA) Men's Division 1 national rankings conducted by coaches, the University of Mary retains the #12 slot for the second straight week.
The Marauders ranked 14
th in the preseason coaches' poll and in the first two regular season rankings before jumping to #12 in the last two polls.
Following a preseason coaches' poll and four regular season rankings by coaches, computer ranking commence next week with the release of the November 5 poll. Twenty-four teams will compete at the 2026 ACHA Men's Division I National Championships. Six teams earn automatic berths through conference qualifying. Computer rankings determine the additional 18 teams that will compete for the national championships.
UMary is 9-3-0-0-0-0 (W-L-OTL-T-SOW-SOL) overall, 8-3-0-0-0-0 against ACHA MD1 teams and 2-0-0-0-0-0 in MCH play. Additionally the Marauders are 6-3-0-0-0-0 when playing nationally-ranked teams.
Against teams in the poll released October 29, the Marauders are 2-3-0-0-0-0. UMary owns road wins over #17 Purdue Northwest and #21 Grand Valley State and have losses to #7 Drury (2) and at #10 Calvin. The Marauders also owns two wins over Arizona State, which is receiving votes this week.
With nine games already this season against ranked teams, the Marauders upcoming schedule doesn't get any easier. UMary visits #2 Minot State University October 31 before hosting #6 University of Jamestown November 1.
The 2026 ACHA Men's Division I National Championships presented by FloHockey is set for March 12-17 at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights, Mo. This will be the third year of the 24-team format.
