BILLINGS, MT – After competing on three of the past six days, University of Mary men's golf will be at it again tomorrow at the Yellowjacket Invitational. Lake Hills Golf Course in Billings, MT, is the host site on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 6 and 7.
UMary will be the lone Northern Sun team competing at the event. Live scoring for the tournament

The tournament was originally intended to be three rounds, but weather concerns have reduced the meet to 36 holes. Play will begin at 12 p.m. MT on both days.
LAST TIME OUT
The Marauders took part in the UJ Fall Invite on Friday in Jamestown, ND. It was a one-round individual tournament, and junior
Aiden Knodel came out on top with a 71 (-1).

Evan Booth,
David Thomson,
Lucas Greenlun,
Quinn Breidenbach, and
Lucas Schoepp all had top-10 finishes in the field of 44.
LAST TIME IN BILLINGS
UMary last competed at the Lake Hills Golf Course in 2022, placing 5
th out of 8 teams. Current assistant coach
Gavin Argent placed 7
th in the three-round tournament.
LOOKING BACK
UMary is coming off its most successful season since 2007, finishing 6
th at the NSIC Championships. Junior
Evan Booth was brilliant, finishing in sixth place overall and one stroke away from All-Tournament honors. As a result, Booth was named the Marauders' NSIC Athlete to Watch for this season.
PRESEASON POLL
UMary was picked to finish 9
th in the NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll. The team's personnel is largely consistent with last years, with the main difference being All-NSIC golfer
Gavin Argent moving to an assistant coaching role. Argent had five top-5 finishes last season and led the scoring efforts for the Marauders throughout the season.
The other four NSIC point scorers (Booth,
Quinn Breidenbach,
Lucas Greenlun, and
Aiden Knodel) are back this season.
NEW FACES
The Marauders added five freshman to bring the roster's total players to 19.
Payton Hiller,
Ryker Landers,
Zach Skarperud,
Hunter Steeves, and
David Thomson are all set to compete collegiately for the first time.
