LARCHWOOD, IA – Less than ideal weather in Iowa on Tuesday led to a long second round at the USF Invitational. The University of Mary men's golf team rode the wave and moved up two spots in the standings, finishing 8
th.
Aiden Knodel made the biggest jump individually, finishing with a 75 (+3) on the second day and placing 25
th. He moved up 27 spots on the leaderboard over the final 18 holes on a day that included two birdies. Knodel's total was a 156 (+9).
Behind him in 34
th was
Quinn Breidenbach, who moved up 7 spots on Tuesday. The sophomore finished with a 159 (+12). Fresh off his first career win at the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational, freshman
David Thomson made his A team debut and finished 35
th with a 160 (+13). Rounding out the team scoring was
Lucas Greenlun, who climbed 24 spots on day 2 to land in a tie for 35
th at 160 (+13).
