UMary climbs standings on day 2 of USF Invitational, finishes 8th

LARCHWOOD, IA – Less than ideal weather in Iowa on Tuesday led to a long second round at the USF Invitational. The University of Mary men's golf team rode the wave and moved up two spots in the standings, finishing 8th.

Aiden Knodel made the biggest jump individually, finishing with a 75 (+3) on the second day and placing 25th. He moved up 27 spots on the leaderboard over the final 18 holes on a day that included two birdies. Knodel's total was a 156 (+9).

Behind him in 34th was Quinn Breidenbach, who moved up 7 spots on Tuesday. The sophomore finished with a 159 (+12). Fresh off his first career win at the Yellowjacket Fall Invitational, freshman David Thomson made his A team debut and finished 35th with a 160 (+13). Rounding out the team scoring was Lucas Greenlun, who climbed 24 spots on day 2 to land in a tie for 35th at 160 (+13).
