th.
Quinn Breidenbach had a solid opening round and is in a tie for 17
th.
Breidenbach, a sophomore, is currently 3 over par with 75 strokes. He achieved a pair of birdies on day one of the three-day meet.
One stroke behind him is
Lucas Schoepp, whose two birdies helped him finish at 76 (+4) on the first day. He currently sits in 23
rd in a competitive field.
Dawson Melbo, who is coming off his career-best weekend, is at 77 (+5) in 27
th. Like his two teammates, he knocked in a pair of birdies.
Freshman
Payton Hiller rounded out the team scoring at 82 (+10) to place 45
th after 18 holes.
