BISMARCK, ND — The University of Mary swimming and diving team won the Marauders Invite after a strong performance on day two. UMary won five events on the day and ten events over the two-day invite.

Day two opened with the 400 Yard Medley Relay as the team of
Peyton Wunderlich,
Maria Strong,
Olivia Gibbons and Grace Burke won with a time of 4:04.07.
Strong took down the 100 Yard Backstroke after recording a time of 1:01.05.
Teresa Cavanaugh (1:03.83) took third in the event.
The freshman duo of Gibbons (1:07.72) and
Natalie Dehring (1:09.95) took the top two spots in the 100 Yard Breaststroke.
Wunderlich earned gold in the 100 Yard Butterfly after posting a time of 1:00.86.
Becca Smith finished in third with a time of 1:04.85.
Gibbons (24.83) took second in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Wunderlich (24.83),
Taylor Miller (25.89), and
Emma Sheppard (25.92) rounded out the top five.
Strong (55.66) and
Elise Altringer (56.52) placed second and third in the 100 Yard Freestyle.
Gabrielle Evanson (5:35.13),
Samantha Sheridan (5:36.60), and
Lola Sheridan (5:46.60) took third, fourth and fifth in the 500 Yard Freestyle.
The Marauder Invite concluded with the team of
Jordn Wolsky, Strong, Wunderlich and Gibbons winning the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:40.49.
The Marauders head to Jamestown, ND, to compete in the Knight Invite from October 24-25.
