JAMESTOWN, ND – A dominant performance by the University of Mary swimming and diving team saw the Marauders take down the Knight Invite with 993.5 team points. UMary won 16 out of the 20 events over the two-day competition.

The day started with the 400 Yard Medley Relay, where the team of
Peyton Wunderlich,
Teresa Cavanaugh,
Maria Strong and
Olivia Gibbons won with a time of 4:09.30.
Samantha Sheridan (11:17.49),
Gabrielle Evanson (11:32.36), and
Lola Sheridan (11:53.11) took the top three spots in the 1000 Yard Freestyle.
Wunderlich was victorious in the 100 fly, recording a time of 1:00.02.
Emma Sheppard (1:04.15) placed third.
Gibbons (2:00.18),
Elise Altringer (2:02.18), and Wunderlich (2:02.37) rounded out the top three in the 200 Yard Freestyle.
Strong took gold in the 100 Yard Freestyle, posting a time of 56.04. Altringer tied for second with a time of 56.19.
Gibbons (1:07.59) and
Natalie Dehring (1:10.32) finished first and second in the 100 Yard Breastroke.
Samantha Sheridan placed second in the 400 Yard IM with a time of 5:02.32.
The final event of the invite was the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, where the team of Jordyn Wolsky, Gibbons, Strong, and Wunderlich took it down with a time of 1:41.01.
