JAMESTOWN, ND - The University of Mary swimming and diving team won eight out of ten events on day one of the Knight Invite. The Marauders sit in first place with 519 team points.

The event opened with the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, where the team of
Peyton Wunderlich,
Elise Altringer,
Maria Strong and
Olivia Gibbons won with a time of 3:41.07.
The Marauders took the top three spots in the 100 Yard IM. Gibbons (1:02.14) led the way, followed by
Katherine Ryan (1:04.66) and
Natalie Dehring (1:05.23).
Wunderlich earned gold in the 50 Yard Butterfly, recording a time of 26.30. Strong finished runner-up with a time of 26.96.
Samantha Sheridan (5:29.56),
Gabrielle Evanson (5:33.83),
Lola Sheridan (5:39.22) and
Amber Norgaard (5:39.90) grabbed the top four spots in the 500 Yard Freestyle.
Gibbons finished first in the 50 Yard Breaststroke, posting a time of 30.84.
Wunderlich won her second individual race of the night by taking down the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.27.
Strong won the 200 IM after recording a time of 2:19.75.
Taylor Miller took second with a time of 2:20.97.
Grace Urke (29.32) and
Teresa Cavanaugh (29.63) took second and third place in the 50 Yard Backstroke.
The night ended with the 200 Yard Medley Relay as the team of
Teresa Cavanaugh, Gibbons, Strong and Wunderlich was victorious with a time of 1:51.56.
