BURNSVILLE, MN – The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference has announced that freshman
Peyton Wunderlich will be the University of Mary swimmer to watch for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Peyton Wunderlich joins us with several years of experience and many accomplishments. During the first week and a half of training, she has brought high energy and a competitive spirit to the team. We look forward to seeing what the season brings for Peyton now as a Marauder," said head coach
Abby Loel.
During her senior year of high school, the Mesa, AZ, native was the AIA DIII state champion in the 50 freestyle (24.08) and the 100 freestyle (53.11).
The NSIC Swimming & Diving Preseason Coaches' Poll also predicted the Marauders to finish 8
th in the conference for the upcoming season. Last season, UMary took 6
th in the NSIC Championships.
"With this being my second year in the position, I am excited to get our athletes ready to race and have fun. We have added ten new athletes to our roster, including nine freshmen and a transfer," Loel said.
The Marauders open their season this Friday, September 27, at 6 pm in the Northern State University relay meet. Competing in the event are NSU and Southwest Minnesota State University.
