MENDOTA HEIGHTS, MN—After three top five finishes on the final day, the University of Mary swimming and diving team finished fourth out of seven teams at the WildBear Invite.
Samantha Sheridan placed fourth in the 500 yard freestyle, posting a time of 5:10.24.
Maria Strong finished fifth in the 200 backstroke, recording a time of 2:08.41.
Madeline Desmond (2:12.90) took eighth.
Peyton Wunderlich grabbed fifth place in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 52.54.
The meet ended on the 400 yard freestyle relay as the team of
Michaela Desmond,
Kamya Smith, Wunderlich and Strong took fifth place with a time of 3:37.60.
The University of Sioux Falls (921) won the event, followed by Concordia University, St. Paul (852), Southwest Minnesota State University (618), UMary (550), St. Catherine University (513), Northern State University (405) and Concordia College (32).
The Marauders host their last home meet of the season against Northern State University and Concordia University, St. Paul, on Saturday, December 7, at noon at the BSC Aquatic & Fitness Center in Bismarck, ND.
